In my opinion she has had ched and cocked up allegedly
If criminals shouldn't have jobs that influences children then robert downey jr shouldn't have a job in Hollywood. Its stupid to think that because you can inspire to not let there past dictate their future.
Rape is an evil crime. To me rape is the most evil crime there is. It is not pro-man to support rape.
I do believe in innocence until proven guilty.
Feminist bint
Emasculated PC media support feminist war on men yet again by giving airtime to a nobody with a chip on her shoulder.
Where is Frankie Boyle when you need him?
Now we have a group of young women who know they can cry rape and make false accusation, with zero proof and win big. Thanks to Charlie.
Ched Evans is the Victim
Should Channel 4 (and the BBC, Sky,ย ITV, C5, Mail, Sun and the other rotten media) have a future in news broadcasting?
Eric Hall on form here.
dopey bitch!!
What will these feminist hate mobs say to Chedwyn Evans when this riduculous conviction is overturned? Will they apologise? Will they think again about the priciples of the criminal justice system?
This chick strikes me as a cunning, crafty and manipulative type.
this is not archaic, this is modern
if she was sooooooooooooooo drunk how did she pick up a pizza box???
IF YOU APOLOGISE YOU ADMIT GUILT! the victim is sober enough to have sex with one person but not the second? the woman I think has tried it on with other famous sports people, the woman claimed she did not know the texts but a canadian fireman brought them back
(1:39) It is unacceptable to strangers (whom in high likelihood do not know the details of the case to any meaningful degree) being horrible towards the victim. However; the victim has little to do with him being banned that is due to the reaction and rules of everybody else (who quite possibly do not know the details of the case to any meaningful degree either).
Denying this person playing football does not make anyone's life worse. I am not clear on the "case" but even the "victim"; which a very large part of the argument is simply that she was drunk (being drunk does not define sexual activity as rape, only if it is against consent or the person is incapable). Most likely the two are never going to have anything to do with each other ever. The victims life is not going to be any better if this person is prevented from following their passion (in a profession that arguably does not put women and children at risk).
ย I am just not sure of the threshold; allowing him to play football does not legalize or deny the seriousness of rape (which has a range of severity). If the threshold was that he should not be allowed to breathe (as opposed to play football at any level what-so-ever) that would be an injustice. And allowing him to breathe also does not legalize or deny the seriousness of rape either.
Roman Polanski? Why have opponents of Evansโs return to football, now or ever, not shown similar concern about the film directorโs rehabilitation? Polanskiโs return to Poland, for filming, has just prompted another US extradition request, that he be returned to face sentencing pending since 1978, when he admitted unlawful sex with a 13-year-old.
It must help, of course, that successful film directors have not been classified, by whichever national committee rules on fitness for role-modelling, as officially inspirational. Polanski, like his colleague Woody Allen, who embarked, in his mid-50s, on an affair with his partnerโs 19-year-old daughter, sister to three of his children, cannot be accused of betraying impressionable fans, those millions of starstruck kiddies whose wee moral compasses are left spinning wildly when their idols fall short.
That responsibility is still monopolised, as repeatedly confirmed in ongoing Evans analysis, by the profession that is, for many of us, more strongly associated than any other โ no disrespect to full-time pimps or Sun newspaper editors โ with vulgarity, aggression, racism, irresponsibility and contempt for women.
The Professional Footballersโ Associationโs Gordon Taylorโs casual analogy between the plight of Evans, the convicted rapist, and that of the bereaved Hillsborough families only confirms that the profession that gave us Rooneyโs โauld slapperโ, Sky Sportโs โdid you smash itโ, and, yet more recently, the Premier League Richard Scudamoreโs โbig-titted broadsโ work-account remains institutionally unworthy of redemption, at least where women are concerned. Maybe it is not irrationally high expectations of footballโs young ambassadors, so much as an evidence-based recoil from its culture, that has fuelled a special implacability towards Ched Evans, to the point of closing down his career.
His only hope of eventual re-employment in football, at this point, is not, surely, his future father-in-lawโs website, but either a) an open letter from Naomi Wolf, feminist and champion of Julian Assange, or b) an appearance by Whoopi Goldberg protesting that Evansโs was not โrape-rapeโ.
Polanski also benefited from extensive celebrity support, including, when he was arrested in Switzerland in 2009, a petition for his release signed by, among the British luminaries, Salman Rushdie, Sam Mendes, Stephen Frears, Terry Gilliam, Jeremy Irons, Emma Thompson and Tilda Swinton. Everyone in international film-making, they said, wanted Polanksi โto know that he has their support and friendshipโ.
Perhaps there should be one law for acclaimed intellectuals and another for men such as Ched Evans? But if not, the latter must have at least as good a case as Polanski for re-employment, once he has completed his sentence.
Alternatively, if a serious sex conviction should cost a footballer his entire career (along with the professions routinely closed to sex offenders) then a similar vigilance should, surely, be applied to discernible sleazebaggery in any other profession, from whistleblowing to royal work, where clemency might be mistaken for approval.

Joey Barton plays or has played at higher reaches of the game than Ched and has performed assault to other players ON SCREEN. If I was a child I would be much more likely to see that and be influenced than somehow reading the daily mail about Ched being a rapist and not even understanding what that meant
Shame on you Charlie Webster if his appeal is upheld what will you do,crawl back into the woodwork
We watch football matches to see footballers being quick on their feet and skillful with the ball and scoring great goals. Not because we want to see wholesome and squeaky clean men playing a game. Perhaps Ched Evans is not as great as judging situations, or reading women's motives and desires, as he is at kicking a ball. And if Charlie Webster is really concerned about the next generation of young man having healthy ideas about women, then maybe she should stop getting her kit off in FHM.
Radical Feminist Marxist mouth piece.ย You either believe in the rule of law or you don't
You either believe in human rights for people you despise or you don't believe in human rights. You either believe in democracy or you don't.
Also, to have this blustering football rep up against someone as articulate and well spoken as Charlie Webster is just a joke.ย
Unfortunately, football players are role models to a lot of young men.
This is simply how it is.ย
Even if his case is treated as simply 'setting an example' to those young men, I see no major downside to this.ย
Being a public figure, the decision to ban Ched Evans from performing in such a prestigious, high-earning job can only send the message to impressionable adolescents that rape is not only unacceptable but will ruin your life.ย
Rape is a horrific offence and should be treated as such.ย
If you disagree with me that's fine, but at least accept that.ย
that women is a LYING prick – asif ANY of the premier league footballers have be in contact with her!! i have sympathy for the woman who has been put through this but Evans is a footballer and a human you do something you do your time then you should be free to reintergrate into society!! Let the man play i say
Ched Evans should be sent to Coventry. If nobody wants you its British law.ched Evans must be allowed to play for Coventry City
No one says he shouldn't have a job -at something. ย If a teacher molests a child, there's no jobs in schools if convicted. ย This is a role-model job, footballers have influence especially on young guys, and the message Oldham FC appears content to allow to be sent out in their name is damned appalling. ย The FA, never quick on such issues, needs to add an explicit rule re players in such situations – that is, this is an offence which means you can't play again as a living. ย Supposing this guy turns up to coach an amateur youth football club. ย They should get a crb/dbs via the FA and he will be listed and unable to be accepted. ย Oldham is undermining safeguarding good practice. ย I gather the PFA has supported him – bad form if so.
Don't know where this idea of footballers being moral role models comes in. Footballers live a lifestyle that is miles away from the average person. Footballers can be a role model in terms of what they do which is football. My role model was Ryan Giggs because i like the way he plays football and so do many other chiildren. It doesn't mean a child will grow up thinking it's right to bang your brothers wife…although if they watch eastenders on a familiar basis they might. The same will go for John Terry, Marlon King, Luke McCormick etc.
If your son looks to footballers as a moral guidance then you're a bad parent on two points.ย
1) You're not a good enough moral role model for your parent and nor are your child's teachers
2) If you don't know your son's role model then you don't spend enough time with him. If you learnt that your son's role model was Ched Evans, you can easily explain to him when he's of the right age about what he had done and this could actually be a really big learning curve in your son's life. Where better to learn about rape than from you.๏ปฟ
people keep saying he's done the time. No he hasn't he's only done 2 of the 5 year sentence that was given to him. and he is a convicted rapist, you cant say well maybe he didn't, because on his form it says convicted rapist. should a rapist be allowed back in to football? NO. and if they do why don't they just let murderers back in to football. at the end of the day if any of us raped someone and then went for a job interview at a shop or a factory or the police force ee we would be turned down. so what gives ched evans the right to get a high paid job, what because he's a footballer. and I personally don't think footballers should be role models but to young kids they are so are you and your kid going to be there shouting "cmon ched evans" even though he raped someone. do you want your kid looking up to a Rapist. I agree with everything Charlie Webster said I do think he should be able to have a job just not one where he is high paid and having a great life doing what he loves while the victim had to leave and change her idendity, what does that say to women? it says you will be punished while your attacker is allowed to live his life like nothing happened.
Here is my opinion, let him play- look at the list below
Does football have a history of dealing with similar cases?
Yes,
In March 1999, Graham Rix, a former Arsenal player and England international, admitted to having sex with a 15-year-old girl and was sentenced to 12 months in prison and placed on the sex offenders register for the next 10 years. At the time he was a coach at Chelsea.
Lee Hughes, who at the time was a West Bromwich Albion player, was sentenced to six years' imprisonment in 2004 for causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal crash in 2003.
Marlon King, who played for a number of teams including Nottingham Forest, Watford and Wigan, is currently serving an 18-month jail sentence following a conviction for dangerous driving. He had previously served jail time for sexual assault and handling a stolen car.
Luke McCormick, then of Plymouth Argyle FC, was jailed in 2008 for more than seven years after killing two young brothers in a drink-driving crash.

What were the outcomes?
On serving half of his sentence, Rix was reinstated to his old job at Chelsea though he was prohibited by the FA from coaching youth players.
He subsequently managed Portsmouth, Oxford and Hearts and successfully appealed the FA's restrictions on working with young players.
Hughes's contract with WBA was immediately terminated on his conviction.
He returned to the professional game with Oldham Athletic after being released halfway through his sentence in August 2007.
King was sacked in October 2009 by Wigan Athletic, following his conviction and sentencing for a physical and sexual assault.
Upon his release from jail in 2010, he joined Coventry City FC.
McCormick's contract with Plymouth was cancelled by mutual consent in 2008.
He was released from prison in 2012, eventually returning to professional football in 2013 with Oxford United. In May 2013, he re-signed for Plymouth Argyle.
Prof Anderson, an expert on sport law, has written on this subject for The Conversation.
Not to forget Edgar Davids who was a women beater and Patrick Kluivert who killed a person in Amsterdam, they where allowed to play football.
Dear Channel 4: Please be more credible in future by giving both sides an equal amount of time.ย
People give the analogy of a teacher or a child care worker not being allowed to do their job, The reason is because it is dangerous for a sex offender to be allowed back in a position where he or she can inflict more harm. ย Teachers and child care workers come in daily contact with vulnerable kids so convicted rapists are banned.THAT IS A LEGAL RESTRICTION.
BUT THERE IS NO LEGAL RESTRICTION on a footballer not being able to go back to their job. All this talk about role models is entirely subjective and if a club doesn't like a player signing for them because of his image, they can say no in principle. BUT to say the player should have no right to advertise himself for a football job is wrong. There is no legal restriction. It is just jungle justice.ย
If Webster really thinks footballers shouldn't be allowed to do their job again she should campaign for Parliament to add football to the sex offenders prohibited jobs list. Using jungle justice against football clubs thinking of hiring Ched Evans is wrong.๏ปฟ
To whom it may concern – Once a rapist always a rapist
I wouldn't let my new born baby girl near him…๏ปฟ
Hear, Hear to Charlie Webster. ย A voice of reason.ย
NO.
Few Points:
Please tell me how a shit striker at a crap club is a role model to anyone?
If it was any other sport that wasn't paid so much i don't believe any one would care.
Please tell me why players who are charged for murder, battery, robbery are allowed to go straight back with minimal questions asked.ย
There are parts of being a footballer he should not be allowed to do but going to training and playing matches really does not seem a problem.ย
They seem to think its a reward for him just because he can play football and make a decent living. However I'm sure there will be constant abusive chants at away grounds and will be very hard for him to progress as a footballer and will most likely stay at Wednesday his whole career if they do sign him again.ย
What trade is suitable for a rapist?? Most jobs come in to contact with women…..ย
Channel 4 have very cleverly found an flamboyant football agent to make his side of the argument look less important and laughable. (they always do that).ย
.romania kean cap//size (X): N
This old guy is abit crazy in my opinion, needs to speak more calmly
Footballers are role models and we should think of the kids.
ย As a kid I always thought murder was bad but then I saw Lee Hughes score and I decided that murder is very good.
