Tia Mowry is opening up about her relationship with her twin sister Tamera Mowry-Housley.
The former “Sister, Sister” star opened up about her relationship with former co-host of daytime talk show “The Real,” Mowry-Housley, in a preview of WeTV’s new docuseries, “Tia Mowry: My Next Act.”
“The hardest part has been being alone after my divorce,” Mowry said in a preview of the video posted to social media. “At times like these, I wish I was still close with my sister, I wish I could call her and reach out to her, but that’s not the case right now.”
The source clarified that Mowry was referring to physical distance. “The sisters remain close, but the reference was to physical distance,” said the source, who was not authorized to speak publicly about the matter.

Mowry lives in Napa, and Mowry-Housley lives in Los Angeles.

Mowry added, “I’ve always wanted that family dynamic of having a mommy and a daddy in the same household, but when you actually send your kids off, you see that that’s no longer there.” Mowry announced her split from her ex-husband, fellow actor Cory Hardrict, after 14 years of marriage in a viral Instagram post in 2022.
She and Hardrict have two children together, a son, Cree, and a daughter, Cairo.
“For the first time, I realized I had choices. I could choose to speak my mind, I could choose to be myself, I could choose to be happy,” she says in a preview for the show, which follows her life after divorce. Then, as the realization hits her, she breaks down and says, “I didn’t know I had choices.”

Tia Mowry has been active as an actress since the ’90s and has also been active in other fields.
The actress rose to fame in the 1990s as one of Hollywood’s most famous twin duos, alongside her twin sister Mowry Housley, who co-starred in the hit ABC sitcom “Sister, Sister,” which ran for six seasons, before launching solo careers in film and television.
The two co-starred in 2005’s “Twitches” and its sequel, “Twitches Too,” before Mowry-Housley went on to host “The Real,” a daytime talk show featuring women of color.
In recent years, Mowry has starred in the Netflix comedy “Family Reunion” and has also released her own cookbook series and hair line, “4U By Tia.”
