A Texas mother has been arrested after her young daughter drowned in a bathtub while they had sex in another room, police said.
According to an arrest warrant, Amanda Ann Clark, 26, left her three daughters, ages 6, 3 and 23 months, in a bathtub filled with water while she engaged in sexual acts with a man in her bedroom on Oct. 23.
According to authorities, Clark told investigators she had been spending time with a “male companion” who said he had come over “to have sex” and that she had gathered up her children while she waited in the bedroom.
A 6-year-old girl told police that her mother and a man had left the bedroom door closed when the 3-year-old innocently pushed her younger sister, Alexandria, into the water, drowning her.
The 6-year-old girl went to the bedroom and told her mother that Alexandria, who would have turned 2 on Friday, had stopped breathing, according to the affidavit.

Clark desperately tried to save her daughter, performing CPR and calling for help.
“She was screaming, ‘Help me. Help me.’ She loved those kids,” Jodi Marotte, who lives across the street from the family, told News 8.
Clark turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday and is being held in the Wise County Jail on $100,000 bail.
She was charged with abandoning or endangering a child, a second-degree felony.
The man claims he didn’t know the children had been put in the bathtub and has not been charged with any crime, according to Fox News.
Clark’s two other daughters were also taken into custody by Child Protective Services, according to reports.
Neighbors who plan to hold a candlelight vigil and prayer for Alexandria on Friday said the tragedy doesn’t mean Clark is a bad mother.
“It was just a random accident, that’s how I feel. She always had her kids outside playing and was a really good mom,” Diane Blake told Fox News.
“When I look over there now, I don’t see any other kids playing outside or riding their bikes. It’s sad.”
