Several Sea World guests in Australia were rescued from the park’s Vortex ride after becoming stranded for an hour and a half in 90-degree heat, the park said.
The stoppage was caused by a sensor communication issue, Sea World said, adding that no one was injured.
The park has no affiliation with an American park chain of a similar name.

At least they weren’t upside down! I can handle that! Get a nice view while everybody stares at you
Nobody's offering to share with the kid on the end that's messed up
For some reason… this wouldn't scare me like it would if it was a huge Ferris wheel or the swings or a roller coaster

That wacky wavy inflatable flailing arm tube man was doing his best to help at the beginning
The machine they used to deliver the umbrellas could have been used to rescue them. Even if they rescued them one at a time🤷🏽♀️
And my friends wonder why I don’t participate in these kind of “rides.”
why wouldn’t they get them down that way. lol lol omg it was right there. have them umbrellas maybe water i hope but just left them there. knowing me. i’d have to pee lol. just because i can’t stuck there lol 🤪
They could’ve easily removed them right down there instead of giving them umbrellas. I don’t understand..
They do have a third parasol. They were about to open it to give it to the man when the video cut.
I thought I was about to see just a tall ladder go up to them 🤭. Cudos to having a boom lift.
Are they dangling over the ki11er whale pool?
Looks like they're having fun taking it all in stride
Looks like the wacky wavy inflatable tube man was trying to reach them, but he just couldn’t 😂
Why didn’t the amusement park use that lift to rescue the people stuck in the ride??????? It seems ridiculous that they used the lift to give them umbrellas only!!!!!
Still not as bad as the orcas that SeaWorld keeps captive and essentially mentally tortures in their little pools so they’ll entertain us. Please STOP giving your $ to SeaWorld.
lol my wife and I got stuck on the top of Verbolten (Busch gardens Virginia) in the front row right before the final big hill for about a half hour . It was rainy with some thunder and lightning in the area…
As a consolation they gave us a one time skip to the front of the line for any ride pass …only problem was it expired that day and the park was closing in 5 minutes so everything was off already lol.
That’s really 100% messed up!!!!!! 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
My worst nightmare realized 😳
Why is that one guy refusing to share his umbrella as if that’s what’s needed in this situation 😭
So Fellini is on YouTube now?Well, why not? (As Fellini himself might say.)👁🗣🌂🧳👠🐒🌝🪁🤸🏿♂️🎭🎡🛤💒
You gone take one at a time, that might be why the ride broke dont know what they are doing.must be between 25-30
The inflatable waving guy has me dying
This ride is a slightly newer version of the one in the park I work at.
I case the ride gets stuck, you can‘t get passengers off just like that. The safety harnesses are secured with several mechanisms to stay in place. So they wouldn‘t even open when one mechanism fails.
Ride operators can not open the harnesses in that position. The ride is build to keep them closed at all costs.
So what you‘ve got to do in that case is to get the gondola down first and then open up the harnesses.
That process takes a couple of minutes. Some rides are locked and staff need a key to get into the deeper computer programs. The keyholder is a technician who has had a deeper training into the ride system by the manufacturer. Ride operators usually make a faster „operating license“ and are trained by technicians.
If said technician is busy working at another ride in the park, it takes a while until he reached the place.
I guess it was quicker for sea world to get that wagon and give the stranded passengers the umbrellas, before they could rescue them.
