The chair of the Labour Party Ellie Reeves discusses Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s upcoming speech where he’s expected to say “life in the UK will get worse before it improves.”
Asked to outline how that will be, Ms Reeves said “during the general election campaign we made clear that things were going to be difficult”.
She added “We’re not about sticking plaster politics, it’s not abut papering over the racks.”

What an easy ride! Starmer criticised the Tories for sleeze and here he is accepting money from a businessman and we wonder what he wants in return? Starmer is reportedly up for any freebies he can get: £20000 for suits, tickets to football matches and race courses, £43000 worth. What the difference Kier? Streeting £175000 from private health! What do they want Wes?
Suggest a more fluent chairperson, who doesn't preface most questions with us and ers
They "fixed" the disputes with the junior doctors and now encouraged more of them. Wonderful. And this will all add to inflation, so rates will go up again paid for by those not on the taxpayer payroll.
This government needs to stop targeting the vulnerable. And face up to its LEGALresponsibility😮to protect them. And as,we as a nation on the whole are doing. Its called care and compassion. We are not soulless human beings. .

Britain spent $19.11 billion in Official Development Assistance (ODA) in 2023. Charity begins at home. Stop these payments, now!
The uk voted for things to worse
No it’s not about sticking plaster politics, is about fat cats with big bank accounts and large pay rises for Labour Party friends. O I forgot about our expenses aswell
We need fairness. Not seen a lot of that so far. Only seen dictatorship.
Can someone check that woman for plug socket and a micro chip? the most robotic delivery I have seen for a long time. About as much charisma as a piece of wet cardboard
Who helped British during many years Covid ???
Labour full of vicious liars. We have plenty of resources to cover helping the vulnerable. These are evil political choices and not economic ones.
No ideas of our own – I know let’s just keep blaming the opposition – it worked for Bliar. We can also get our Deputy PM to keep crossing her legs during question time, the stench of Grimsby docks should then anesthetise the opposition.
I've never felt pure hatred for the government as I do now.
Starmer: Due to a £20BN financial black hole I have to cancel winter fuel payments.
Also Starmer: Hey Zelensky here's.£12.5BN.
Sky = MAGA UK.
Shaky voices, carefully crafted sentences, and meaningful rhetoric—all these signs point to one thing: increasing pressure on working people, stigmatizing the unemployed and disabled, attracting more investments, and protecting the wealthy to encourage further investment. This is the underlying guideline that will be reflected in policy decisions. Once again, we bear witness to this pattern.
