ABC’s Jay O’Brien traveled to rural Georgia and spoke to Democratic voters who hope VP nominee Tim Walz can help win enough votes in rural America to affect the outcome in swing states.

United States Farmers incomes have plummeted to the lowest in history under Harris/Biden. “Net Farm income will decrease by 27.1% in 2024 from 2023.” FoxNews. VOTE FOR TRUMP! Our whole Country is heading in the same direction under Comrade Kamala Harris. MAGA2024!
I hope he can help shift the support of rural Americans away from Trump…
MAGA is in decline. VOTE BLUE 💙💙💙
Do they need tampons there?
Communist Democrat propaganda. Vote Trump.
Tim Walz is incredible! Great choice! Great ticket!
Democrats with Obamacare have saved many rural hospitals, lead pipe removal, and are against food production monopolies. Trump gave 28 billion away to big agricultural. Democrats are the only ones doing anything for rural America.
The Wallz are tight
Hello from gnatsville—Albany, GA! 🎉
That lady said it all – rural voters want to belong to something and not feel forgotten. Trump is not the answer. But Tim Walz could be.
Democrats in general, figure out a way to get rural America back
Not sure why any rural voter would vote for Trump. He knows ZERO about what they go through.
3 years ago was the defining moment on this incompetent administration that put the Taliban in charge of security costing 13 American lives
If Kamala can show policies that will lower housing prices, grocery and energy bills, curb illegal immigration, and increase wages, she’ll earn the rural vote. But if she thinks identity politics and having an old white dude as her running mate will help her across the line in rural America, she hasn’t learned a thing.
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😊😊😊
What kind of farmers will like Tampon Tim?
If Harris would create a new Cabinet position – Department of Rural Development – and put someone like Andy Beshear in it and then focus on all the issues facing rural communities, especially access to healthcare along with economic development and blanket high speed access, they'd go along way in bringing back those communities because repubs are not doing a damn thing for anyone but rich people and corporations. Excellent post ABC … more of those.
Tim Walz is best Ticket so much emotion empowerment intelligence speaking to normal working middle class people has empathy rural communities can be identified as one of them .
God bless America 🇺🇸 💙🇺🇸💙🇺🇸💙🇺🇸💙🇺🇸💙🇺🇸💙🇺🇸 Harris Walz 2024!!!!!!
In this week's polling results, Georgia is the last swing state not yet in Harris's column. If White Southerners take notice of Tim Walz, this election is already over.
Marjorie Taylor Greene's District. They need the help desperately.
Looks like a pretty town. Small towns and smaller cities are having a hard time in the current economy. Many of them are failing. People are moving to the big cities for jobs and the economy there…..that’s why there’s a housing crises in the cities. But theirs a housing crises in the small towns and smaller cities…..but the crises is just the opposite…..there are tons of empty houses, some homes have been empty so long that they are now considered abandoned. That’s because the economies of many small towns and smaller cities have become very slow growing, stagnant or degenerating. Believe it or not if all the homes available in the small towns and small cities were filled there would be no housing crises in the US……and homelessness would be greatly reduced! The problem is evening out the areas of economic growth so that small towns and smaller cities now thrive and become desirable seats of population. I don’t know if that’s a solvable issue or not. But i heard one of the political groups saying they wanted to build more big cities…..I don’t think that solves our housing and economic issues…I think that there is another great solution and that’s using, enhancing a resource that we already have…and that resource is small towns and small cities!
Thank you for posting this. Very informative.
Rural Democrats. Like my Grandpa.
Why would rural areas vote for Trump if they want more jobs, lower costs, lower taxes, stronger unions?
How the hell do either Trump or Vance appeal to rural voters? The NYC. billionaire and the Yale pet of Tech bosses?
WE LOVE YOU COACG WALZ! YOUR VOICE IS LIKE MEDICINE!
For a while democrats did abandon middle class values and issues. Not any longer. Republicans are now solely focused on the rich and extremists. Democrats care about families, unions, and the middle class.
The Dems need less corporate money and more leaders from the grassroots. It needs 15-20 year plan to get a rural leadership all over rural America. Nothing happens overnight
I hope Georgia votes for Democracy instead of the chaos Trump and the vote for the decency of Walz & Harris.
