The phrase “stay hydrated” has taken on new meaning as a heatwave grips the U.S. Now, popular rapper Ludacris is taking the phrase to a new level. On Monday, the “Get Back” artist posted a video to Instagram of himself drinking fresh glacier water while performing in Alaska.
Cynthia Addai-Robinson talks about ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power’
“Look, half the glaciers in the world are here in Alaska. I can’t just come out here and do a show. I have a bucket list, or what I call a ‘bum list,'” he said. “I’ve never had fresh glacier water in my life. This is the first time.”
After taking a sip of the water, Luda exclaimed, “Oh my God! Oh!” It was as if he had discovered the fountain of youth. Although Luda thoroughly enjoyed the experience, fans who replied to the video were very concerned about his health. They were glad he didn’t fall in, but worried that the mysterious source of water would make him sick. It seems that any sci-fi/horror movie about aliens or prehistoric monsters lurking in glaciers scares people.
One person thinks the rapper/actor will “discover an ancient disease.”
Another fan reflected on the local wildlife, replying: “Luda, I think there’s polar bear urine in that water.”
Given what we’ve been through in recent years, it’s no wonder that ancient diseases are at the top of everyone’s concerns, with one person writing, “The next pandemic virus is millions of years old. Patient O is this guy.”
“Pathetic, asshole drinking the remains of ‘Alien Romulus’,” one cinema-goer recently posted.
Another person doesn’t think this will lead to anything good, writing to X that “new monkeypox variants will soon emerge.”
With many talking about his latest adventure, the “Act a Fool” rapper jumped on social media to update everyone, and the self-proclaimed “water connoisseur” appears to be as energetic as ever and free of the alien virus.
“People ask me what glacier water actually tasted like, and it was the best tasting water I’ve ever drunk in my life. I was drinking it and it felt like every cell in my body was being hydrated and rejuvenated at the same time,” the Fast and Furious actor said. “So here I am, I feel like Superman. I love all my fans and I’m glad you all love it. It’s a different way of life. I’m just trying to take you to different places and show you different things.”
Despite his assurances, at least one fan didn’t believe it, replying, “Notice I said he has a human body? That’s because he’s been completely taken over by ancient water spirits and they have revealed themselves.”
One user brought everyone to reality, posting, “If you’re worried about Ludacris drinking glacial water, wait until you hear about Flint, Michigan…”
