The fourth dialogue session of the Emirates Environment Group (EEG) was held in Dubai to discuss the importance of high-rise buildings in achieving zero emissions.
The event explored advanced technologies that can help build zero-emission skyscrapers, the challenges of implementing solutions to reduce the energy consumption of such buildings, and the economics of doing so.
With the rapid development of urban landscapes and the rise of skyscrapers, governments and businesses are actively working to reduce emissions, reported Emirates News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
Habiba Al Marashi, chairperson and co-founder of Emirates Environment Group, said a key highlight of the session was the discussion on challenges and solutions related to high-rise construction and sustainable development.
She stressed that a building that meets modern standards of comfort and sustainability must be carbon neutral at every stage of its existence.
