Rap star Lil Baby was arrested in Las Vegas for carrying a concealed gun without a permit.
The headliner, whose real name is Dominic Jones, was reportedly booked into Clark County Jail on a $5,000 fine after he was seen on video being handed a gun at a yet to be disclosed location.
TMZ reports that “Lil Baby was spotted at the Las Vegas club Encore. A representative for Wynn/Encore would not confirm whether the incident happened at one of the resort’s nightclubs.
“To be clear, Dominic Jones holds a valid Georgia Concealed Carry Permit (CCW), and on his behalf we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding his arrest in Las Vegas,” Las Vegas attorney David Chesnoff, who is working on Lil Baby’s case with Atlanta attorney Drew Findling, said in a phone conversation Tuesday.
Chesnoff said the rapper has since been released. He did not know where the arrest took place.
Nevada does not recognize concealed carry permits issued in Georgia.
Lil Baby is a regular headliner in Las Vegas, and he and Lil Wayne performed at the 49ers’ post-Super Bowl party at the Omnia at Caesars Palace.
