Ed Kelce, father of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, seems to have come to an end on X. Ed is known as a content machine who loves to make people laugh, but this time he may have run into some serious trouble. Known as an avid Facebook user, Ed shared his thoughts on his recent ban from Elon Musk-owned social media platform X.
“Frankly, I posted about an arms dealer operating on X because I was pissed off the trolling from Elon. I barely write anything on X, I just follow sports reporters,” Kelsey’s father said on Facebook, referring to a political statement Ed had posted a few days earlier that appeared to violate X’s “Terms of Use.”
Ed shared a London Times article alleging that Yemeni arms dealers were selling weapons on Elon Musk’s platform. Shortly after the post, Ed was banned from X, forcing him to turn to Facebook again to air his grievances. Prior to Sunday’s post, the Chiefs tight end’s father had first posted on Saturday.

The initial ban he posted was, “Arms dealers are free to peddle their wares on X, but I’m permanently banned and they didn’t say why, just a general terms of service violation.” But Ed didn’t stop there, he went on to cite possible theories behind why he was banned on X.
Is Papa Kelsey Right to Be “Angry” at Elon Musk’s Trolling? React!
“Apparently, Twitter X thinks I posted something in May or June of 2023 that went against their rules. That didn’t happen. The platform isn’t that secure so I think I might have been hacked,” Ed added on Sunday. While Kelsey’s father tries to find answers about his ban from X, his love for Facebook knows no bounds.
During an interview with Bussin’ With the Boys, Travis talked about how his dad uses Facebook the same way we use Google. “When he sees something wild, he’s like, ‘Dude, what is this? This is totally out of the blue, is this about me and Taylor?'” Travis joked, adding that while Travis has spoken about how his dad feels about his relationship with Taylor Swift, Ed continues to play the role of the supportive dad we all love.
Ed Kelsey and Travis Kelsey support Taylor Swift
Both Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have hectic schedules. The singer is busy traveling with her Eraser Tour, while the Chiefs tight end is gearing up for the new season. It’s hard for the two to spend time together, but Travis never misses a chance to show his heartfelt support for Taylor.

Ed was the one who pointed out this side of his son in a Facebook post, writing, “Travis reached out to Taylor immediately and spoke with her at some length to show his support and see how she was feeling during this tense situation.” This situation came at a time when Swift’s Vienna concert was canceled due to a threat involving three teenagers, one of whom, a 19-year-old, was the main suspect, planning to target the crowd outside the stadium with a knife and homemade explosives. However, all were later arrested, and the 15-year-old was released after questioning.
Speaking of his son’s support for his girlfriend, Ed added that Travis keeps his phone close to him so he can talk to Taylor if there’s an emergency. “Even when he sleeps, he keeps his phone close to him in case he needs to talk to Taylor. They were on the phone for a long time yesterday because he normally can’t handle those situations,” Kelsey’s father added. However, this isn’t the first time Ed has spoken about the couple on social media.
When Kanye West released a new song titled “Lifestyle,” the lyrics included a reference to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift: “I twist Taylor’s spliff tight at the end like Travis Kelce.” After the song was released, Ed took to his favorite Facebook page to criticize Kanye for his “blatant mental illness.”
