This is not true at all😂😂😂😂😂
I wanna reconsider my screend time!
thanks.
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00 🧠 Screen time's impact on child brain development
– Excessive screen time during critical periods (birth to age three) can hinder fundamental skill development.
– Screens may impede the development of social interaction skills and empathy.
– Sensory overload from screens can lead to stress hormone release and addictive behaviors.
01:24 🐭 Potential positive effects of screen time
– Some studies suggest screen time exposure can desensitize mice to stress.
– Screen time may prepare children for the fast-paced, high-stimulus modern world.
– Not all screen time is equal; moderation and content quality are essential considerations.
02:06 📺 Conclusion: Moderation and balance in screen time
– Screen time moderation is crucial for a child's overall development.
– Children should learn to function both with screens and in the real world.

As a gen z who's been growing with my little pony and all the cartoons available on tv… I gotta say that I learned more life lessons about empathy than the majority of adults around me have…or maybe it's just my personality idk…but the point I'm trying to make is learning how to be a good empathetic considerate and kind person can be achieved even if you develop little to no ability to socialize and interact with people
As someone who was “raised by a television,” I can say how detrimental it is to watch TV for hours straight daily. My brain gets lazy, frustrated and emotionally dysregulated. I am 100% sure it’s part of the reason why I have ADHD. As an adult, I am struggling big time. I’m working on myself and I know that when I have children, they will not be using screens for anything but schoolwork if I can help it. They will exert mental and physical effort for everything, practice mindfulness, play outside and develop a healthy growth mindset.
I'm enchanted by this content. I read a book with similar content, and I was truly enchanted. "Reclaiming Connection: The Journey of a Digital Detox" by Joshua Ember
My father made the worse mistake of giving me games and a screen. Parents and children, if you are reading this. Please reduce time on screens. It dramatically reduced my ability to socialize and also developmentally delayed me. Please go out and play. Dont stay inside all the time.
How can a mouse staying calm in stressful situation be good. Like if a cat comes, he had to react on impulse for protecting themselves. This shows lack or inability to analyse the situation and can prove fatal
As a teenager who plays on screens 8 hours of day, I managed to get into Cornell.
Yay.
😮
Everything is about balance but I can’t imagine it being beneficial 🤷🏽♀️ just my opinion.
People don't be fooled by Government massemedia. That's only possible if the toddler is watching it 24/7. Also where is the link to the scientific research?
I didn't have a tablet until 5 and it was limited and im development disabled (ASD)
I see babies with smart phones these days
How is it a positive affect to make the mouse more calm in the presence of a deadly predator it seems negative to me to get rid of the natural reaction of fear that causes the urge to save our own lives but hey NBC says better just to lay down calmly and die…🤔 I think I've heard them say something like this before sounds like a common theme around here! 🤷♂️ these liberals don't care about our kids they actually want our children dead let's just be honest it's sick🤢🤮
The material here is exceptional. A related book I've read was equally commendable. "A Life Unplugged: Reclaiming Reality in a Digital Age" by Theodore Blaze
1 hour a day fixed time
Screens are wrecking our focus
what is the software used to create this animation?
The mice completed GTA
Dont get your kids a mobile device until they turn 18.
Спасибо, познавательно 🤗
Is this not what they call "self contradiction" 😂.
Yes, I use the Internet. Go ahead, attack me with your "go outside". It's no use, because I already do.
eh, when did painting, reading and writing with a feather (?) become a part of evolution? The key is not moderation with screen time it's exposing kids to variety of activities so they can actually learn something while doing them. Taking screen time away and replacing that with nothing will not do anything and more importantly, it won't fix the lack of parental involvement.
Dirt works wonders for children’s imagination. Whatever you can do to get your hands dirty will go along way.
New generation new problems
Y’all remember when your a little kid playing on the iPad and your parents telling you to stop. Now parents let their little kids playing on the iPad
Mean while my nieces and nephews love their tablets.. so spoiled 😂😂
Ughhh
Many baby’s now a days have their own freakin tables 😂
It’s crazy I’m 20 and I didn’t have any devices to use until I was maybe 11 and up..
is no one talking bout how parents want there kids to spend like 1 hour on screens, yet the adult is spending 23 hours on facebook 💀
I was wondering about this Thabk you for doing the research
Viewed. Although, it didn't affect your brain development !
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😤😤😤😤😤😤😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Consuming hours and hours of entertainment on screens each day is a big problem, and I believe this is reducing many kids' attention spans and their ability to focus on slower-paced things (like teachers writing on chalkboards). Think ADHD. Parents should put screen time limits in place and provide non-screen alternatives for the kids (legos! paper books! arts & crafts!), not to mention encourage them to spend a lot of time outside each day if possible. Cheers…
I remember when I was growing up my single, Polish, loving, but crazy mother had trouble with controlling how much screen time I got.
I think the key is not just "moderation." What a screen offers is any narrative, any kind of fun, etc. at just a tap away.
I think there has to be another option the child is also happy about. Maybe parent input and help in doing long term projects for example.
This is pretty disgusting, really. It is WELL proven that children under two should really have absolutely NO screen time; it should be avoided as much as possible. Even toddlers and young children really shouldn't be exposed to it; it really is like a toxin to their brain. This is well documented information, and it is incredibly concerning to me that parents are not made aware of it prior to giving birth. The fact that this network is trying to suggest to ANY degree that it's ok for babies and extremely young children to be exposed to screens is more than just appalling; it is downright alarming. Anyone else notice that the baby milestones that have been in place for God only knows how long had to be moved back by a year or more because for some reason, babies are beginning to develop cognitive abilities at MUCH slower rates than ever before? Think maybe it's got something to do with the countless parents out there thinking they're doing a good thing by giving themselves a break and plopping a tablet in front of their child for God only knows how long EVERY DAY since it was born? Do ya think that MAYBE a whole lotta parents out there have absolutely NO idea just how negatively they impact their child when they put a screen in front of them specifically because the dangers of screen time are RARELY discussed, and are even sometimes promoted, like this garbage, here? You might think I'm overreacting, but our babies are under developing; in large part due to parents employing screens as babysitters. Imagine the negative impact society will experience once nearly every member of it was one of those underdeveloped babies; we're already seeing extreme societal degradation brought on in part by screens, internet, "social" media, etc… it's not exactly just gonna get better. What an absolute shame some people see crap like this and are led to believe something is perfectly ok and even beneficial, when it is in proven fact very much the opposite.
exactly, when my child turns 4 they will be homeschooled, they will not be allowed to stay the night at a friend's house because I won't be able to monitor if their friend's parents are allowing my child to use the technology of any kind. Wich my child will not be allowed to until they turn 18 and want to move out, they can, however, have friends stay the night as long as the child's parents are okay with no cellphones or iPad or any other technology being brought over for the time they are staying, they can call their parents from the house phone to check in every few hours. But they will mostly be doing stuff children should be doing like playing in the yard, doing art stuff like coloring, drawing and painting…sometimes movie nights. I remember how my mother had rules for me, And when I would go stay the night with friends their parents would allow me to break those rules and do all sorts of stuff I wasn't allowed to do at home, And I don't need that happening to my child.
Well, can anyone suggest what is the best alternative?
