Ed Kelce was permanently benched after this game.
Over the weekend, Travis Kelce’s father attacked Elon Musk on Facebook, saying he’d been permanently banned from X (Twitter). Why? That part isn’t entirely clear. The claim came in a post on Saturday, where Ed shared a Newsmax article alleging that Houthi arms dealers were selling weapons on the social media platform. In the post, he said:
“An arms dealer is free to peddle his wares on X, but I was permanently banned, with no explanation given, just a general ‘Terms of Use’ violation.”
On Sunday, after the media began picking up on his ban story, he made another post clarifying that the arms dealer incident was just to make a point.

The NFL dad said he only shared the article because he was upset that he was banned while illegal activity was still occurring.
“I want to be very clear here: I rarely do Facebook or Instagram. I get Google Alerts via email for articles that mention the boys, which I then remotely post to Facebook for friends and family to see. I posted an article about an arms dealer operating out of X because, quite frankly, I was pissed off at Elon’s trolling.”
Ed said he just wanted to “highlight the hypocrisy of social media assholes” by showing how easily they ban normal, harmless people, and added that he believes he was “hacked” because he was barely using the app at the time of the alleged ban.
“I barely wrote anything on X, I just followed sports journalists. It’s useful to listen to what journalists have to say during the game, especially in a stadium where there are no commentators like when watching on TV. I was active on X/Twitter from September to February, reading other people’s posts. Apparently X’s Twitter users think that I posted something against their rules in May or June 2023. That didn’t happen. The platform is not that secure, so I think I was hacked. My comments at the start of this conversation were just to highlight the hypocrisy of the social media bastards.”

Wow! If this really happened, how unfair!
That said, Musk’s promotion of free speech isn’t trying to be “fair” at all. We know nothing about Houthi arms dealers, but try typing in the word “cisgender” to describe anyone who shares Nazi talking points or the N-word and you’ll see what we mean.
Perezcious readers, what do you think?
