Abu Dhabi [UAE]Abu Dhabi, August 26 (ANI/WAM): Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative for Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club, ADNEC Group will host the 21st edition of ADIHEX from August 31 to September 8, 2024 at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, blending the Emirates’ cultural traditions with innovation across 11 sectors.
The exhibition will feature falconry, hunting, equestrian sports, veterinary products, fishing, water sports, environmental protection, cultural heritage, arts, crafts and technology.
An important part of UAE culture, equestrianism is a symbol of social status and survival for the Bedouin. Known for their durability and grace, the Arabian horse is emblematic of Emirati tradition. Originating from the Arabian Peninsula, the horse is more than 4,500 years old and renowned for its speed and beauty, excelling in dressage, endurance and beauty contests.
ADIHEX 2024 will feature equestrian events, workshops and talks, including the Arabian Horse Society, which will host discussions on the cultural, historical and technological importance of the Arabian horse, its role in hunting and falconry, and its connection to Abu Dhabi’s history.
Official sponsor Zabeel Feedmill will provide insight into equine nutrition, with a focus on sustainability and animal welfare.
Highlights include the Liberty Equestrian Show, interactive equestrian competitions by Davian Equestrian Club and a handler competition for the beauty of their horses. Visitors can enjoy trick riding with Abdullah Al Ghaffari, a traditional equestrian show by the Omani Knights and musical riding and workshops by Fatima Al Bloushi. Mamluk Archery and Cabell Stables will be showcasing re-enactments of historical battles, while Davian Equestrian Club will host pony rides and gymkhanas for those determined to ride. (ANI/WAM)
