Throughout its activities as a team, the Gebben van Venrooy Racing Team has achieved much success in the MXGP paddock, racing various brands of machines, including Kawasaki and more recently Yamaha.
The team has really enjoyed working with Calvin Flanderen and even won a GP under the awning with him, but unfortunately after negotiating with Fantic for the 2025 season the deal did not materialise, meaning the team was forced to leave the paddock and is now on sabbatical.
It is understood the team is interested in returning to Grand Prix racing for the 2025 season – nothing has been signed yet but talks are ongoing to return to the paddock – but if things go to plan, that could be a big change.
The intention at this point is to return with the team’s new branded KTM machinery. After focusing on the MXGP World Championship to date, the team plans to concentrate on the MX2 World Championship in 2025.

Rumours suggest that Gebben will not be involved in the 2025 project, while van Venrooy is keen on a new project, and Klaas Hattem is expected to stay on as team manager.
There were rumours earlier this year that Valerio Lata and Cas Valk would join the team, but as far as we know, only Cas Valk will compete in MX2 GP in 2025. Lata is expected to continue in the MX2 World Championship in 2025 with a different team and brand.
We will continue to update you with more information as it becomes available, but there is still work to be done to have all plans in place in time for the 2025 season.
