CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — With the third and final round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs underway, just 30 golfers remain on the PGA Tour for the 2024 season.
The postseason began with 70 tour professionals competing in the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, followed by 50 at the BMW Championship at Castle Pines Golf Club in Castle Rock, Colorado.
The Tour Championship concludes the season and the winner of this event will also be crowned the FedExCup champion.
The playoff’s first 17 seasons have produced 14 winners, and only two golfers have won it multiple times: Rory McIlroy (2016, 2019, 2022) and Tiger Woods (2007, 2009).
Four riders qualified, but four also withdrew. The biggest improvement was made by 2024 BMW winner Keegan Bradley. The top three places remained the same as a week ago.
