Four young people were killed in a horrific car accident in Sharjah in the early hours of Friday morning, police said.
Three of the passengers were unable to open the car doors and suffocated, dying at the scene, while a fourth passenger, who was seriously injured, was rushed to Al Qasimi Hospital in Sharjah but succumbed to his injuries the following morning, police said.
At 2:45 a.m., Sharjah Police Operations Headquarters received a report of a traffic accident involving a vehicle carrying four Arab youths in their 20s, three Syrians and one Egyptian.

The car was heading towards the government area of Al Raya when the driver lost control due to excessive speed, crashing into a barrier and falling into the water behind Souk Al Jubail.
Emergency response teams, including police patrols, the Civil Defence and Rescue Service and the National Ambulance Service, were dispatched to the scene.
Sharjah Police General Command expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and urged the public to adhere to posted speed limits and traffic rules to ensure safety on domestic and international roads.
