Scott McTominay is attracting interest from Napoli in the final stages of the summer transfer window but could also be attracting interest from clubs closer to home.
The possibility of a move to another top European league may excite McTominay, but it remains to be seen whether he intends to stay at United and fight for his place, or move to a new club in search of a star role elsewhere.
Football Insider reports that Everton are considering a move for McTominay this summer, with United having already rejected three bids from Fulham, with Napoli thought to be leading the race for the versatile midfielder.
Fulham’s final offer is believed to have been £23 million, but that was not enough to convince United to sell.
The Toffees have financial problems but could tempt United with an offer for McTominay, which they are yet to receive.
McTominay has scored 10 goals in all competitions for United this season and his importance to Ten Hag’s team is clear, but he is not a starter and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
If you think McTominay will stay at United this summer, let us know in the comments.
