Thursday marked Castle Pines’ long-awaited return to the PGA Tour, but it also brought with it an unexpected comeback: Max Homa returned to Twitter.
The six-time PGA Tour winner and golf’s Twitter king had been away from social media for a while, but after two months (which, to a man so used to the space, probably felt like two decades away from Castle Pines), he was back with a bang.

Ultimately, Homa hoped that his time away from the platform (his last tweet was on Father’s Day) would help him get out of his slump, but after failing to finish better than T-43 at the British Open since then and starting with a 2-over 74 at the BMW Championship, he decided to return to the X-App.
I quit Twitter a while ago because I thought it might help my game. Wrong ๐ Hopefully tomorrow will be better. At least when I walk through Castle Pines this week I’ll finally have a big ass

Glad to have you back, Max. But in reality, Homa only officially returned three minutes earlier, when he responded to a posted video that alluded to a slow-play issue in the first round at Castle Pines. And in true Homa style, he responded as graciously as possible.
I’ve been waiting for the rules guy for 15 minutes. Have a great day, Matt, keep up the great videos!

Great to see you keeping it classy. Social media doesn’t have to be a wasteland of toxic interactions. This guy makes Twitter, and especially Golf Twitter, a better, more civilized place.
Best of luck, Max, with your golf game and with your toned glutes.
