Dubai, UAE: Intersec 2025, the world’s largest event charting the future of safety, security and fire safety, will return to the Dubai World Trade Centre from 14-16 January 2025 with a focus on cybersecurity.
Now in its 26th edition, Intersec 2025 will put the spotlight on cybersecurity with a strong focus on the in{cyber} section. The initiative will highlight the importance of cybersecurity and its connections to other key security domains such as physical security, emergency response, homeland security and policing. The event will have a dedicated startup zone and innovation stage in{cyber} to showcase cutting-edge solutions and advancements. This strategic focus will provide a consistent experience for visitors and offer a comprehensive perspective that addresses the real threats the industry currently faces.

The importance of cybersecurity in the UAE cannot be overstated as the threat landscape continues to rapidly evolve. According to the UAE Cybersecurity Council and CPX Holdings’ State of the UAE – Cybersecurity Report 2024, the UAE faces significant cybersecurity challenges. The report highlights more than 155,000 vulnerable assets and a worrying trend of critical vulnerabilities going unaddressed for more than five years. Ransomware attacks account for more than half of cyber incidents, with government, energy and IT sectors being prime targets.
The UAE Cybersecurity Council reaffirmed its support as a partner to the cybersecurity sector at Intersec 2025. Commenting on the partnership, His Excellency Mohammed Al Kuwait, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, said: “We are pleased to once again support the cybersecurity sector at the 26th edition of Intersec. The 2025 Intersec Security Leaders’ Summit (ISLS) will feature a wide-ranging discussion on cybersecurity, exploring topics such as the next generation of hackers, building cybersecurity resilience, addressing the future of deepfakes and misinformation, ransomware myths, and gig economy inspiration.
The conference will bring together leading international experts including Fawaz Al Sumaim, Head of the Cybercrime Department at the Bahraini Ministry of Interior.

Meanwhile, the newly launched CISO Business Briefing, as part of the Cybersecurity section of Intersec 2025, will provide a platform to explore key trends, threats and opportunities in information security, bringing together Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) from the region and security heads across industries to identify how they are strengthening their organisations’ resilience to protect against emerging threats.
Intersec 2025 is expected to see a 30% increase in cybersecurity exhibitors compared to the 2024 edition, showcasing industry-specific solutions from leading companies such as Dell, Ingram Micro, Genetec, Axxon Soft, Ipsotek, Intelligent security systems, Regula, Seagate and Lensec. A notable feature will be the Startup Zone, dedicated to cybersecurity, showcasing cutting-edge solutions and facilitating connections between experts and innovators from around the world.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the 26th edition of Intersec will be organised into five broad product sections – Commercial & Border Security, Fire & Rescue, Safety & Health, Cybersecurity, Homeland Security & Police – bringing together tailored solutions for each industry segment. Under the theme “Writing the Future of Safety, Security and Fire Protection”, the exhibition is expected to attract 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries and over 42,000 industry visitors from around the world.
