In Mansfield, construction has begun on a 100-acre entertainment district that will include a 7,000-seat multi-purpose sports stadium.
City officials and representatives from FC Dallas, the Frisco-based MLS club, celebrated at a groundbreaking ceremony Aug. 19 on Heritage Parkway for the new neighborhood known as Staybold Street.
“Staybold Street will be a landmark for the Mansfield community,” said Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans. “Mansfield has long been known as one of the best places to live, and Staybold will help it become known as a great place to play.”
The venue will be owned by the city, with REV Entertainment and FC Dallas managing the day-to-day operations and developing programming throughout the year.
City officials announced that the District will open the first High 5 Entertainment venue in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, a three-story family-friendly venue that will feature activities such as a bowling alley, arcade games and a rooftop concert venue.

City officials say the name Staybold Street honors Mansfield’s history and embodies the city’s spirit of community unity.
In 1860, Julian Field and Ralph Mann built Mansfield’s first steam-powered mill, laying the foundations of the city. Inside the mill were boilers powered by staybolts, “humble yet vital components” that trapped energy and kept it together, according to a city statement.
“We are honored to partner with the City of Mansfield and FC Dallas on the Mansfield Stadium project,” REV Entertainment President Shawn Decker said in a statement. “This groundbreaking marks a landmark moment for the city and the first step in unlocking endless possibilities for the Entertainment District.”
The facility is scheduled to open in spring 2026 and will be the venue for both youth and elite athletics.
“Providing opportunities for communities across North Texas to play and experience soccer is an important part of FC Dallas’ work,” said FC Dallas’ Chief Financial Officer and CEO.
Executive Director Jimmy Smith said, “We are excited to work with the City of Mansfield and REV on this project to help grow the sport and expose more fans to it.”
FC Dallas is owned by Hunt Sports LLC. Since being acquired from Major League Soccer in 2003, FC Dallas built the 145-acre Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center in Frisco where it plays its home matches. FC Dallas and its affiliates operate the MLS NEXT Academy, men’s and women’s youth programs, as well as North Texas SC in MLS NEXT Pro.
REV Entertainment serves as the official events partner of the Texas Rangers and the official booking agent for Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium in Arlington. REV Entertainment also conceived and produces several original concepts, including the Shriners Children’s College Baseball Showdown, one of the most highly attended tournaments in college baseball.
The Mansfield City Council formally approved the management agreement with REV Entertainment and FC Dallas at its Feb. 12 meeting.
