Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo continues to push the boundaries of social reach. His new YouTube channel, UR – Cristiano, has broken several records just one day after its launch. Already one of the most followed footballers across various social media, the footballer is spreading his wings even further by dominating the YouTube scene. Despite most videos being around a minute long, Ronaldo’s channel has easily surpassed one million subscribers in less time than the duration of a football game. But how much is he earning from this new venture now?
In less than two days, Ronaldo has already posted 12 videos to his YouTube channel. However, even short videos can garner millions of views, despite the optimal length of a YouTube video being around 10 minutes, due to Ronaldo’s incredible influence. Ronaldo has already racked up over 20 million views across three of his videos.
According to a study by Thinkific, a YouTube channel can earn nearly $6 per 1,000 views, ranging from $1,200 to $6,000 per million views.
As of this writing, Ronaldo has over 100 million views on YouTube, and between his star appeal, advertising revenue, and sponsorship deals that have come from his recent YouTube success, Ronaldo has likely already earned well over hundreds of millions of dollars.
The Portuguese forward now has more than 30 million subscribers on YouTube, where he posts videos alongside his son Cristiano Jr and partner Georgina Rodrigues on topics such as Euro goal rankings, free-kick challenges and ‘this or that’ matches.
On the competitive front, Ronaldo scored 44 goals for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Professional League in the 2023-24 season. Despite not scoring a single goal at Euro 2024, Ronaldo started the 2024-25 season with three goals in three games.
